The incident took place around 12:43 p.m. Tuesday when a voter arriving at the fire station on Route 9 failed to stop in time while parking on the north side and hit the building, said Garrison Fire Commissioner David Brower.

The building was not seriously impacted by the crash, with some aluminum siding crushed, he said. And voting was not interrupted due to the crash.

"We have been busy with a steady stream of voters," he said. "Thankfully no one was injured and voting could continue."
